Stephen J. Pruett — Executive VP & Chief TV Development Officer at Sinclair Broadcast Group

Mr. Stephen J. Pruett, also known as Steve, Steven, has been Executive Vice President and Chief TV Development Officer at Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., since January 01, 2017. Mr. Pruett served as Co-Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair Television Group Inc. at Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. from April 2013 to January 01, 2017 and served as its Vice President from April 2013 to June 24, 2016. Mr. Pruett served as the Chief Operating Officer of Chesapeake Television, Inc. at Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. since April 2013 He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Communications Corporation of America, Inc. since 2007. He had been with CCA for 9 years and served as its Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years experience in the Broadcasting Industry with an extensive background in intellectual property asset management as well as the production and distribution of nationally syndicated television programming and music. During his career he's created and managed several broadcast media companies with a combined ownership of nearly 30 radio stations and 100 TV stations. He has founded multiple broadcast groups including Spanish Radio Group Excel' Communications, ACME Television, USBG and UPI Media. He served as special strategic advisor to DirecTV and Thomson Consumer Electronics from 1998 to 2002. From 1995 to 1999, he served as a Managing Director of Communications Equity Associates. Since 2008 he has been a key member of the Fox Affiliate Board of Governors where he served as treasurer until elected Co-Chairman in 2011. Mr. Pruett acquired an undergraduate degree in Radio and Television from Southern Illinois University. He earned MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.
