Executive Bio

Mr. Edward Wong, also known as Ed has been Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Chief Information Officer at Smart & Final Stores, Inc. since April 2016. Mr. Wong has responsibility for Smart & Final Stores, Inc.'s logistics operations. He served as a Partner in the Global Business Services group of IBM from June 2010 to April 2016. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Charlotte Russe Holding Inc., since August 1, 2008. Mr. Wong served as Chief Supply Chain Officer and Executive Vice President of Charlotte Russe Holding Inc., since June 2006. He was responsible for all aspects of information technology and also for supply chain management, specifically merchandise planning and allocation, distribution center operations and logistics. He served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Systems of Charlotte Russe Holding since June 2004. He joined Charlotte Russe as Vice President of Information Technology in December 2003. He began his retail career in 1979 at the Sears department store chain, transitioned into buying and merchandise planning roles at Mervyns and then evolved into information technology positions for Target Corporation. He subsequently worked for several specialty retailers including The GAP and Eddie Bauer in information technology and supply chain management roles. He served as an Executive Vice President, Supply Chain and Information Technology of Factory 2-u Stores Inc., from August 2002 to 2003. He joined Factory 2-U Stores Inc., in May 2002 as Vice President of Planning and Allocation. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President of Solution Design for ProfitLogic Inc., from July 2001 to May 2002. He served as Vice President of Retail Engagement Executive for i2 Technologies from January 2001 to May 2001. Mr. Wong served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Technology for Gymboree Corporation from August 1998 to December 2000. Prior to that, he served as Divisional Vice President of Retail Planning and Allocation for Eddite Bauer Inc., from May 1997 to July 1998. He holds a Master's degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego.
