Other than the salary, our unlimited sick time policy. Personally, I don't get sick often, but it is nice knowing that if my spouse/dependent were to get sick my time off of work would be covered and it wouldn't count against my PTO/vacation time.

Flex time - i.e. being able to work more or less on a given day, just have to hit your hours for the month

Honestly, the health insurance package is my favorite component of my benefits. I have a low deductible, great coverage, and I kept all my doctors.

The two most costly things for a business are employee salaries and paying for a physical location. Since we are fully remote I feel like salaries should be able to be more competitive than they currently are.

Compared to other areas of the market, as well as other agencies in our industry, I feel like we're a bit underpaid. Pay structures are not clear, pay bands are not openly communicated, and raises and bonuses seem like murky processes. Our benefits are good.

Commission can make compensation highly variable. Promotions are given instead of keeping employees' salaries in their current roles competitive. I would feel valued if SmartBug proactively increased salary (or benefits!) without requiring us to advocate for sub-inflation adjustments

I have a very unique skill set that is very valuable to the company all around, many years of journalism/PR-related experience, and a masters degree and im currently being below the average amount for a PR specialist. I have talked to them and theyre supposed to give me a raise & promotion in March.
