Positive work environment with hard working people

No worklife balance is offered

I love you working with this company. This is my second family

service employees deserve just as much scheduling certainty as their executive counterparts. the lack of support from upper management to get people hired is disappointing. "No money for new hires." Carlos Flores makes $700,000 a year?!

Since starting work at Sonesta I've been seeing bulletin flyers about bonus opportunities and hiring kickbacks, but I see the majority of our staff doesn't make a living wage in the city we are located. I'm not sure if anyone has brought this to the attention of corporate so I will.

The manager and AGM at my location provide positive reinforcement and show me they care about my quality of life.

The leadership team could improve leading by example and lending a helping hand when needed. Communication and positive feedback could also be improved.

I feel undervalued when I get my schedule less than one week in advance and still am expected to provide 24/7 availability. a shift differential for the night shift would make a huge difference.

One goal in each department and that's to treat each other as we treat our guest.

The culture depends on the manager on duty. One manager is well equipped and very good on the job. The other manager tends to put everyone in a bad mood due to unprofessionalism.
