Ms. Kimberly Scheibe Greene, also known as Kim, has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Southern Company since March 1, 2014. Ms. Greene served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Southern Company Services, Inc. at Southern Company from April 1, 2013 to March 1, 2014. She was responsible for overseeing Southern Company Services' information technology, human resources, supply chain management, marketing services, business performance services and system aircraft functions, as well as SouthernLINC Wireless and Southern Telecom. She also led efforts surrounding Southern Company Services' Smart Energy efforts, which include emerging technologies involving energy innovation, energy efficiency and customer energy choices. She served as the Chief Generation Officer and Executive Vice President at Tennessee Valley Authority from February 10, 2012 to February 2013. She served as Group President of Strategy and External Relations of Tennessee Valley Authority since January 2010 until 2011 and also served as Chief Risk Officer. She served as President of Tennessee Valley Authority since January 4, 2010 and served as its Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Financial Services from September 4, 2007 to January 1, 2010. She was responsible for all TVA financial functions, including treasury, accounting, risk management, financial planning and investor relations. She served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Southern Company since September 2004. She joined Tennessee Valley Authority in 2007. Ms. Greene served as Vice President, Finance of Southern Co., from June 30, 2003 to September 2004. She has been aN Independent Director of Valero Energy Corporation since July 28, 2016. She served as a Director of Portfolio Management for Southern Company Generation and Energy Marketing (GEM) at Southern Company from July 2002 to July 2003. She joined Southern Company in 1991 as a Mechanical Engineer and progressed through various areas of responsibility in power and system engineering, combustion turbine engineering and Vogtle support. In 1994, she moved to Southern Energy Inc., where she served as Assistant to the President and Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. She served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Southern Company from July 2003 to September 2007, where she was responsible for financial planning and analysis, capital markets and leasing, treasury and investor relations. She served as Vice President of Finance at Southern Company from June 30, 2003 to September 2004. While at Mirant, Ms. Greene also served as Director of Asset Management, Texas Region and manager of structuring. She later served as Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for the South Region at Mirant, where she was responsible for trading and asset management activities for Mirant's generating assets in ERCOT, Entergy, TVA, Southern and Florida markets. She has been Vice Chairman of Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. since April 17, 2012. She has been a Director of AGL Resources Inc. since 2016. She serves as a Director of Energy Insurance Mutual Limited Company and Southern Power Company. She serves on the advisory boards for the University of Tennessee College of Engineering and the University's Department of Finance. She has been a Director of Electric Power Research Institute since April 17, 2012. Ms. Greene holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from the University of Tennessee, a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Masters in Business Administration from Samford University. She also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
