Paid industry wages, Legit 40 hour weeks, stop throwing people under the bus so planning can have the weekend off.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Cost of living between Texas and California, as well as Florida are radically different. Percentages should be allotted to compensate for steep cost of living in California. I would feel better if they paid industry standard wages, and then if you want over time too, pay accordingly.
