SpaceX Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Everyone is thrilled about the mission, passionate, and dedicated to their jobs.

Collaboration and respect between colleagues

Review from Engineering Dept

The employees treat each other like family

Environment is very good to be in

Dont feel pressured to meet deadlines we all work so close and comfortable together and its supwr genuine

There isn't only one positive. Everything has been positive so far

We’re looking for a strong software developer with skills in performance engineering and design. The goal of the SpaceX combustion modeling team is to develop first-in-class combustion simulation software to optimize and significantly reduce the development time of the Raptor rocket engin

Everyone is inclusive, and very friendly.

The culture is that everyone is on the same time, we know what we came to do and we are getting it done.

Always are Open to innovate, even if the current way to do something is great, if you have something better they will go with it

Usability comfortable spaceX humanity friendly

Free to joke around while working. Very fun work environment.

I am still studying but I have a plan for future

the culture and positivity is a modern way of statement and id say that there are so many diverse people and positive people in my job

Very dinamic and inclusive place to work

Coworkers in the company get excited about each others progress on a variety of projects. High signal to noise in program updates.

The entire company and what they are trying to achieve

Best idea always wins, no question nor idea is too dumb

Everyone is working harx together

We are encouraged to ask questions and point out potential problems we see in designs.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

It's hard to feel good when your main spokesperson hates people like you.

To be more family oriented at work

Generally people will absorb and use information as it becomes available without passing it to others who they know would benefit from the information. Multiple times I have spent tens of hours working towards a goal which is no longer in line with project objectives because of this.

The schedule needs to become realistic

They need to get rid of the horrible managers who are responsible for the hiring on the production side. We wait hours for parts because they dont hire people who are organized. The blatant sexism in this deparment needs to be addressed as well.

Top covid satellites and quit selling out people to other countries money like Pfizer

Rockets are cool. So is free coffee and Froyo...but that's about it. The culture would benefit greatly from some better planning on projects. I know the pace is fast, but get it right the first time. It's a shame to see others work late nights just to cut corners.

Review from Engineering Dept

upper management needs to understand everyone and undo the disconnect from the common technician/employee

Review from Operations Dept

better pay 40 hour work weeks stop the rah-rah and be realistic

Review from Operations Dept

Enough with the fakes. Do as you say and say what you do.

The company environment is awful, you go to work not knowing if you will have a job at the end of your shift, and HR is just as deep in the "Good Ol Boys" group as the rest, so they are useless!!

Review from Operations Dept

Hiring people who don't try to steal others positions, or simply sabotage good ideas.

Review from Operations Dept

Not sure maybe better understanding of needing time off.

Review from Operations Dept

more pay to keep up with inflation so that i dont have to live 70 miles away from work.

Review from Operations Dept

Get management that doesn't hold a grudge when you question them

Review from Product Dept

Managers need to start fallowing company policys

Review from Operations Dept

Fair payscales, fair opportunities for advancements, were out dead weight and replace with motivated people. No quantifiable review system, reviews based solely on one individuals opinion
