What do you like best about the leadership team?
Their support and patience while trying to run a busy store.
The outstanding leadership and social skills were the biggest Factor with dealing with store employees and customers

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Be a better manager. Have the proper training
Experience communication following the rules understanding expectations knowing how to do their job being respectful open communication clear communication compliance appreciation for employees who have not only done their job well for many years but are putting off their lives for this job

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Honestly I'm not sure what the compensation packages I did not receive that at bullhead City Arizona
Making above minimum wage for my province.
The lunch they bring in .
There is no package except 30 percent off which is awesome
I was told I am being $14/ hr and paid weekly during the hiring process. I downloaded all of my onboarding forms. But now they're missing out of my device and I can't get an answer on what day is payday
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I work harder than anyone there and I get my hours cut

I feel undervalued because i never got paid . . Getting my pay would make me feel better
Pay me during the correct year
If they actually showed that they care about their employees
The labor during set up in the summer is very intense. Working in the heat for long periods of time, lifting heavy walls, ect. That being said, I don't mind doing all that, but the pay could be alittle more for the intensive part of the set up, then lowered back to normal rate after.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The diversity and commitment to helping each other
We all work together. And are all happy to help customers

Upper management made no effort to hire employees for the season. We were understaffed and ended up with zero experience workers who played around on shopping carts and sat around smoking or disappearing while a select few did all the heavy lifting and maintenance

The work ethic and leadership
Everyone is happy to be working at spirit
Meeting other nice people my age. Learning valuable work experience and Retail experience.
The costumes are fun to be around
My Manager and coworkers all amazing people and hard workers

Make it easier for employees to seek help when being treated unfairly.

Better communication and better overall training for management
A lot more notice and training on how the job actually works and what company policies are etc. There were many many times were I was completely unaware of how my store is run and had to ask my sibling who worked at a different location.

Better training for upper management. The store was ran by children with no banking, cash handling, customer service or general common sense skill. They had ad zero direction. Were left with no communicate and let to run wild and party like it was not a job but playground

What did you like most about the interview process?
This was my 8th year with the store so it was easier for me because I knew the job requirements

The interview process seemed positive
They already knew me and i worked last season so it went easy
It was great till i realized they hired me and never told me my rate of pay or anything else important. I was told id have to watch training videos but i went straight into manual labor of setting the store up. No training. And the PPE provided didnt fit so it made it more dangerous for me.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
More detailed back ground check
Better management to conduct the interviews or atleast someone to walk you through the job and teach you instead of being hired and thrown into the store clueless
Less personal questions. They made me uncomfortable
I was ready and eager to work. I put in applications. I had to just show up because nobody took time to call. I'm pretty sure it was my age. The DM is young and wanted her age group. She said she would call and never did. I show up the next day and get hired on the spot by another manager.

Some employees i work with
stocking the back of the store and when we are busy

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The products are low quality and overpriced
I was treated horribly and then given almost no hours and not informed of it so i was left with even less. I just don't want anybody else to have to feel unsafe or like a criminal at their job that they were just hired at and told it would be just like another that trusted me to do everything alone
