State Farm Insurance Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Fast response, Virtual interview, and straight forward.

Meeting the different level bosses.

Not a drawn out process.

The interaction and exchange of experiences, knowledge.

They wanted to listen and know more about me.

The boss is extremely positive and nice during interviews. But two days in on the job things turn bad.

Smooth and seamless at every venture!

The team wanted to get to know me and asked open ended questions.

Focused, informative, provided good direction

It was typical brainwashing bs.

It was awkward but easy. You sit in front of a webcam, but there is no human being on the other end you are talking to; you record yourself giving answers to interview questions, and a human being ostensibly views the video later.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The overal hiring process and diversity

Casual, friendly and informing about the company

flexibility but it's very structured.

The questions were straight forward and applicable to the job and level of experience required.

It was a very easy process

It was almost 35 years ago

I interviewed 28 years ago, hard for me to say

Basically, if you have a pulse they will hire you due to the many understaffed departments

Over the years, management has taken a much lesser role in interviewing new employees and promotional interviews.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Actually telling the truth about the role and fairlu compensating based on the real job requirements

Not really sure, just meh.

I was hired from a video interview.

The scripted questions don't match the positions being applied for

I retired after the problems with State Farm. I lost thousands in pay and have decided to take retirement after 50 yrs!

Review from Customer Success Dept

Hire better people that wont quite after training. Be more truthful in your job adds

Review from Customer Support Dept

Have the managers be more personable

We focus too much on the STAR situational questions which have a place, but weigh too heavily.

Each interview process is different for different people

Review from Customer Support Dept

Be truthful! Say this is a job where you will be expected to harass everyone you know and the focus is NOT on customers service/satisfaction but on getting their money and getting them gone. Expectations will be higher for men than women and compensation will be much less than you think.
