What do you like best about the leadership team?
At STERIS. the leadership takes time to understand employee questions and concerns. When they send out a survey seeking feedback, they communicate & address items and follow up with ideas to implement changes.

An understanding of the job and tasks that are under taken
Take action and be aware of team dynamics, too dismissive of ideas and put too much responsibility on technicians to sort out their team members. Current lead better suited for dedicated trainer assistant role and to train stations he had not officially held to better understand them.
Communication, listening to staff and care.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I love that STERIS has an annual bonus program. I've enjoyed receiving a payout each year.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation is not relative to the workload expected
Increase of wage...its hard work there.
Stock options to assemblers packagers all production employees a day extra or two of vacation days for employees that been there for 25 years and over

The are competent, nice people that make working under current leadership somewhat tolerable.
I love the team collaboration and willingness to help each other when needed.

Perhaps by forming a Union.

Fast paced but everyone is extremely friendly and respectful
People are generally happy from the start of the shift to the end
Fellow team members, the people overall that everyone works with within the teams are wonderful. A lot of talented and hard working individuals that do all they can to aid better team work and acknowledge their teammates when disappointingly leadership rarely does.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Need a change in executive leadership.
Equal opportunity. Not only for people of the same country as the GM.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Interviewers were easy to talk to and made you feel comfortable.
Speaking with my potential manager and then meeting with team members. They were great about answering my questions.
It was too long, 4 total interviews.

Interviewers were people I actually now work with on the regular not some far fetched high up exec which is good.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Make sure people can speak fluent English
Might have improved since I was interviewed, so can not speak on what to improve.

I love learning about STERIS and the work that we do that helps people.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Restructuring of how the role of team lead in our area, a fixed trainer assistant role or other such to aid in training and development of tools and procedures, better to test team members on their skills and work knowledge.
