Mr. Murphy served as the President of Central Region at Summit Materials, LLC and Summit Materials, Inc. since August 2009. Mr. Murphy served roles as Regional President and Company President for Oldcastle starting in 2004. He served as Vice President of Aggregate Industries??? Rocky Mountain region, responsible for aggregates and hot mix asphalt production and sales. Before joining Aggregate Industries, he worked for Luck Stone, a top 10 privately held aggregate supplier in the U.S. He has over twenty years of experience in the construction materials and mining industries, working with both public and privately held companies. He began his career in the mining industry in Europe. Mr. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a concentration in Minerals Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines/ Exeter University in the United Kingdom.
