Don't be afraid to clarify who is there to help you. Find those peers who can help, also find peers outside your group who have an affect on your line of business and build relationships. Leave your ego at home and approach your job with curiosity of what you do not know. You may stand out more if you aren't constantly auditioning for your job by showing everyone how big your knowledge is but instead trying to find ways your knowledge can be used in concert with your team to achieve your goals.
Be a sponge. Soak in all the information you receive, pay good attention, and take good notes. It is a great company to work for.

What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at Sunrun?

Humility. It heard it once said "No one is special. If everyone is special than no one is special." I took this to mean that many people run their lives out of fear of not being special in front of others at work. On a recent trip to Japan, I found it quite refreshing to see even the lot porter of our hotel taking great pride in what he was doing, which was sweeping the street in front of the hotel, and not worrying about others perception or judgement. He took pride in his job, not pride in what others thought of his position. Be humble. Approach others with the goal of helping them or asking for help. When others assist you, don't forget it. Make sure you reciprocate. You are not entitled to the help of others. Even if they are your subordinates. Humility goes a long way to building relationships. Humility is not weakness, or meekness. It's empowering.
