Mr. Mark A. In addition, Mr. Chancy retains oversight of SunTrust Banks' Corporate Development function, which includes its Merger & Acquisition, Performance Management and Strategic Planning functions. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of SunTrust Banks from August 10, 2004 to April 25, 2011. He began his 17-year career in financial services in 1986, when he joined The First Boston Corporation in New York. In 1989, he joined the corporate finance department at The Robinson-Humphrey Company. He served as Chief Financial Officer of The Robinson-Humphrey Company since 1997. Mr. Chancy became part of SunTrust when Suntrust Banks Inc., acquired Robinson-Humphrey in 2001 and served as its Treasurer since August 2001. He served as a Trustee of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Inc. He served as Director of Robinson-Humphrey since 1998. He holds a B.B.A. degree in finance from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
