Across multiple managers, in multiple roles, in multiple departments, my managers have always cared about me as a human being, just as much as they've cared about my success in the role(s). It's refreshing to work for a company that encourages such a holistic approach to employee management.

I believe they want what is best for Sweetwater and thereby the employees. I think there is a passion for what we do and who we are. That passion for the business expands to the people who work for the business.

"Do the right thing" is more than just a hollow motto at Sweetwater. That is a part of the everyday at this organization, and I am proud to be a part of it.

Every executive here is not only highly talented, but great people. Having them on site every day also allows them to all be tied closely with the needs of the business!
Review from Sales Dept
Leadership does a great job of valuing employee feedback and truly caring about people, not just performance. Their people-first mindset creates a supportive culture where individuals feel heard, respected, and valued.

the incredible focus on heart that goes into every business decision

Their goal is to make the buying and customer experience for musicians the best that it can be. As a lifetime musician, it's the fact that this company does better and cares more that shows through our leaders and is a major part of what I love about this company and leadership.

Readily available and care deeply about not just the work we do, but more importantly about us as people. They are easily the best leaders I have ever worked for.

quality of respect and assurance for the employee

My current team does an incredibly job of active listening; understanding the root of an issue, talking it through, and devising a plan of action. The comradery regarding day-to-day work is unmatched as well - truly thankful to work alongside them.
Review from HR Dept
They are real people who spend time with our teams and deeply care for how we're doing and our performance.
Review from Admin Dept
I am eager to grow in the company, and have no understanding of what steps I can take to be considered for advancement. I asked and was told to constantly remind them of what I need, but I see others that started after me get promoted. Inclusivity would be greatly appreciated and deserved.

listening to employees, and constantly changing directions. people are stressed and there is no sense that there is a direction.
We don't all have a chance at advancement unless you know the right people. Positions don't get posted for us to appoly, but somehow promotions and vacancies are fill simutaneously. Sweetwater is sweet to the customers, but not so sweet to the employees.

Consider yearly raises larger than 40 cents. Allow us to work from home when we're sick to not encourage - no, require people to come into the office and spread sickness when we all work in cubicles near 4-10 other people all day long.

There are constant changes that benifit the company and not the employee. Structural changes need to be mode give and take, and not just take.
Review from Sales Dept
Understanding information worker burn out and workload. Fair compensation for duties and job requirements. Less gaslighting about working in "the industry."
Compensating and valuing employees for their time and efforts.
Review from Operations Dept
Make decisions based on actually "Doing the right thing" instead of over correcting from past mistakes.
Review from Sales Dept
Team development. Leadership by example. Accountability in decision making. More delegation, less micromanagement.
Review from Sales Dept
Every single thing. But try respect for starters.
Listen to employees. If they did an anonymous survey, the results might surprise them. But I don't think they want to know what people really think.
Review from Marketing Dept

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We do in fact do an anonymous employee survey - most recently in fall 2021. We take employee feedback seriously and are always looking to listen to our employees' voices. - Jeff Ostermann, Chief People Officer
