No egos! It's amazing - it's truly so rare and refreshing.

They are transparent, approachable, and make an effort to assure each employee feels valued.

Being able to work remotely is huge - it's so much more productive and helps me live a happier life each day.

I love how much employees are valued and trusted. The leadership team doesn't just say that "we are a team built on trust"... they show it.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I love having equity in the company. I do think I would get paid more elsewhere, but I'm committed to TaxJar and can't imagine working anywhere else.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Going back to "no egos," I love how we all celebrate each other and aren't competitive against each other. We work as a team and celebrate others when they are successful.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I think annual raises (contingent on performance, of course) would be helpful. I actually like the fact that we don't have a structured feedback/performance process and just get feedback as we deem appropriate/natural, but I think the opportunity for an annual raise would be very helpful.
