Mr. Kevin Beam has been the President of TechTarget, Inc. since January 10, 2012. Mr. Beam served as an Executive Vice President of TechTarget, Inc. until January 10, 2012. Mr. Beam served as Executive Vice President and Group Publisher of TechTarget Storage Media, TechTarget Security Media and TechTarget Windows Media of TechTarget, Inc. Mr. Beam was responsible for all aspects of TechTarget media in the Data Storage, Information Security and Microsoft Windows markets. He has more than 18 years??? experience in magazine publishing, production, technology sales and marketing. He spearheads TechTarget's efforts in creating highly targeted media powerhouses by combining the top conferences, leading magazines and number-one Web sites for each market into one integrated entity serving the needs of enterprise IT professionals and IT vendors. TechTarget Storage Media includes SearchStorage.com, twice named to B-to-B magazine's Power 50; Storage Decisions, the leading conference for senior-level storage professionals; and Storage magazine, the top magazine covering the strategic aspects of buying and managing enterprise storage. In addition to being named a finalist for the Jesse H. Neal Awards for Excellence in Business Journalism, Storage magazine has been received eight ASBPE Awards and the top Folio: Show Ozzie Award for ???Best New Magazine.??? TechTarget Information Security Media includes SearchSecurity.com, the top online destination for information security professionals; Information Security Decisions, the only conference to provide an audited audience of information security professionals qualified based upon budget and purchase authority; and the award winning Information Security magazine, the only monthly magazine focused exclusively on the information needs of information security managers. Since its acquisition by TechTarget, Information Security has won three TABPI Awards (Gold, Silver), regional and national ASBPE Awards (Gold) and was a Jesse H. Neal Award finalist. He joined TechTarget in 2001 as Vice President of Web Site Management, responsible for market strategy for TechTarget's portfolio of targeted IT sites. That year he launched its successful IT conference effort with Storage Decisions. In March 2002, he launched Storage magazine, its first print publication. At that time, he was named Vice President, Publisher for TechTarget Storage Media, adding responsibility for TechTarget Information Security Media in July 2003. Prior to joining TechTarget, Mr. Beam was Vice President of United Communications Group where he was responsible for the launch or acquisition of more than a dozen publications and hundreds of successful conferences and seminars. He was co-founder of Reliability Ratings, an IT media publisher acquired by United Communications Group in 1992. Prior to that, he spent five years in sales and sales management positions at EMC Corporation. Mr. Beam holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Boston College.
