Out of 79 Tektronix employee reviews, 81% were positive. The remaining 19% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Tektronix improve their work culture.
Valuing the Employees over the Shareholders. Valuing the Customer over the Shareholders. Listening to employee feedback. Delivering an organized strategy and or even a vision.
Taking a step into the world of "math and physics" where moving from point A to point B doesn't take ZERO time. Stop managing through spreadsheet models and get on the floor and do what you're asking your employees to do.
As with every company that values Shareholders over employees the benefits become more and more anemic year over year.
It would be nice to be paid for 5 days of work instead of 4 when working 40+ hours a week.
Benefits are shopped each year to the lowest bidder. No assistance from the company to navigate the benefits obstacle course. Only L1 is compensated well. All other groups fight for 1% increases. Even office supplies are hard to come by (many people bring from home).
An AWESOME annual merit pay increase would be 2-3% at BEST at Tektronix. You're more likely to see 1.2 - 1.8% with a lot of promises that "next year will be better".
Personal opinion can interrupt professional collaboration on projects.
No sense of a team. Feels like contractors inside a company.
Due to Fortive KPI Culture, created many silos, alignment of priorities never were good. Leadership focus heavily on short term results, paying far insufficient efforts and resources to ensure good internal strategic alignment across the company. Keep speaking slogan only. Others follow or shut up.
STOP DOING THINGS just because "that's the way we've been doing it"... challenge EVERY task you can't see a clear justification for doing. STOP USING FIVE SHEETS OF PAPER FOR EVERYTHING!
It is a joke... it seems as if you have to take 7 minutes instead of 5 to use the rest room they're looking for SOME way to recover that time from you.

People feel disjointed and confused about the future.
Silos created by individualized or misaligned or cascading of KPIs. Things can't be measured can't get justified. Marketing as a sales support, rather than a leading role in crafting the market or the company strategy, this isn't right. Underestimated the importance of and under-invested in mktg
