Gary K. Ruff — Senior Vice President of Physician Resources at Tenet

Mr. Gary K. Ruff has been a Senior Vice President of Physician Resources of Tenet Healthcare Corp. since January 28, 2013. Mr. Ruff served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Tenet Healthcare Corp. from July 2008 to January 28, 2013 and was responsible for leading all of its legal activities at the corporate, regional and hospital levels. Mr. Ruff served as an Interim General Counsel of Tenet Healthcare since March 2008 and also served as its Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. Mr. Ruff joined Tenet Healthcare in 1992 as Senior Counsel of Tenet Physician Services and its Gulf States Region. Prior to joining Tenet Healthcare, Mr. Ruff served as a Tax Manager for Deloitte & Touche, where he specialized in corporate reorganizations and individual tax planning. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Oil and Gas Seekers, Inc. From September 1996 to June 1998, Mr. Ruff served as Vice President and a Member of the Board of Directors of Equipment Leasing & Sales Corporation, a Washington corporation. He served as a Director of Oil and Gas Seekers, Inc. He is a Member of the American Bar Association and the California and Texas Bar Associations. His other affiliations include the American Health Lawyers Association. He holds a Master's of Law in Taxation from Georgetown University and his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine. He holds a Master's Degree in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Gonzaga University.
