The Receptionist for iPad helps our customers ease visitor chaos. Our app works for businesses of all sizes—from 1 employee to over 3000! Our system handles tasks like guest check-in and notifications, visitor information storage and badge printing so that our customers can focus on making more meaningful connections with their visitors.
The Receptionist was founded in 2015 and its current CEO is Andy Alsop. Since its inception 11 years ago, The Receptionist has grown to 28 employees.
We have a vision to develop a visitor management application that has unprecedented flexibility in workflow and visual design — that solves problems businesses didn’t even know they had. Our focus is on our customers, innovative solutions, and growing our team with intention!
At The Receptionist, we are committed to being thoughtful and intentional with the resources we use. To minimize our environmental footprint, we've avoided expanding our co-working space while supporting our hybrid team. We take our responsibility as stewards of the environment seriously and actively work to reduce our impact.
For our packaging, we use boxes made from 50–80% recycled materials, depending on the paper mill, balanced with virgin paper to ensure strength and reliability. The foam inserts are crafted from 100% recycled polyethylene, providing durability with eco-consciousness in mind. Additionally, each package includes clear recycling instructions to make it easy for customers to properly dispose of packaging materials.
Starting in 2023, The Receptionist has been donating 1% of its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) to select charities in the Denver community. These causes were chosen thoughtfully to reflect the values of our team. We also offer a company matching program and provide donation funds on employment anniversaries to support individual charitable giving.
