He served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Managing Director of CME Group Inc. from February 14, 2010 to May 15, 2014 and also served as its Controller since June 2006. Mr. Pieper served as Associate Director & Assistant Controller of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. Before joining CME in 2004, he served as Director of Worldwide Accounting of Divine, Inc. He has public accounting experience with KPMG LLP. He has been a Director of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc., and served as Director of CME Group, Inc. since June 2006. He served as a Director at Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. Mr. Pieper received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
