McWhirter, II, also known as Bill, has been Group President of The Construction Products, Energy Equipment and Inland Barge Groups of Trinity Industries Inc. since 2012 and has been its Senior Vice President since 2010. Mr. McWhirter serves as the President of Trinity Materials Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President of Trinity's Construction Products Group at Trinity Rail Group, LLC since 2001. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Trinity Industries Inc. from 2006 to 2012 and Principal Accounting Officer from February 27, 2009 to May 2010. He served as a Vice President of Trinity Industries Inc., from 2006 to 2010. He joined Trinity Industries Inc., in 1985 and held various accounting positions until he served as a Business Group Officer in 1992. He served as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Trinity Industries Inc., since 1999. Mr. McWhirter holds an Undergraduate Degree in Finance from University of Texas at Arlington in 1986 and his Certified Public Accountant license in 1991.
