Many coworkers I met were folks who either quit the next day or called-out every other day. I sometimes desired my leaders to step-in and discuss what the job required and emphasized the importance of helping each other by just showing up to work.

Better coverage from rovers during call-outs. It's not fair to have your employees work 16 hr shifts two days in a row because there isn't someone else who can help cover the shifts.
