Ms. Jeannine M. Rivet, R.N., Mph serves as Executive Vice President of UnitedHealthcare of the Midwest, Inc. Ms. Rivet has been Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group Inc. since January 2001. Ms. Rivet served as an Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group Inc. since 2000. Ms. Rivet served as an Acting Executive Director of United Health Foundation. Ms. Rivet previously served as an Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group Inc. from October 1994 to March 1998 and its Chief Executive Officer of Ingenix Pharmaceutical Services and Health Intelligence business segment since January 2001 and from April 1998 to December 2000. From December 2003 to 2005, Ms. Rivet served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Optum, its Specialized Care Services business segment. She served as UnitedHealth Group's Senior Vice President, Health Plan Operations from September 1993 to September 1994 and Unitedhealth Group Inc.'s Vice President of Health Service Operations from June 1990 to September 1993. Ms. Rivet joined UnitedHealth Group (then United HealthCare Corporation) in 1990. Prior to joining UnitedHealth, Ms. Rivet served as Vice President for group operations at Prudential Insurance in Boston. She also held positions with Peak Health Plant Ltd. in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Group Health Associations in Washington. She has been a Director of ABIOMED, Inc. since February 8, 2016. She serves as Member of Advisory Board of Solutran, Inc. She served as a Director of The Schwan Food Company, Inc. (formerly The Schwan Food Company, LLC) since May 2001. For three consecutive years, 1998 to 2000, Ms. Rivet was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the fifty most powerful women in American business. In 1999, she was named by Minnesota's City Business as one of the most influential women in business. Ms. Rivet received Masters in Public Health from Boston University. She also holds a B.S. in Nursing from Boston College and was a registered nurse for several years prior to entering the managed care industry.
