Mr. Roger Rodriguez has been the Chief Executive Officer of Medicare and Retirement Plans at UnitedHealth Group Incorporated since June 2013. Mr. Rodriguez served as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Preferred Care Partners Inc. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Rodriguez served as Vice President of Utilization Management and then Chief Operating Officer for HealthNet Consultants, Inc. before being named Vice President of Care Management for Preferred Care Partners. Prior to joining Preferred Care Partners in 1998, Mr. Rodriguez spent six years leading the operations of a managed care consulting firm that manages Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial risk agreements for over 100,000 members. He served as a leading member of the task force that successfully founded Preferred Care Partners as a licensed Medicare Advantage health plan. He is a Certified Professional in utilization review and an affiliate member of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Mr. Rodriguez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami in 1993 and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University in 1998.
