The base pay is excellent.
I don't have one, I am a self-employed contractor. But I am a retired teacher so it works perfect for me.
I am not an "employee" I am a contractor. They are quite fair to me all the time.
Get paid twice a week.
PTO earnings are nice and the bi-weekly pay schedule

It is variable . There is no limit to how much money I can make
I can make more with more effort.

Everything is good. Great overall.

I am a contracted tutor so I am paid by the hour. I love that payments are made by direct deposit twice a week and clients are held responsible for missed sessions or last minute cancellations.

Flexible scheduling is the best part

The pay could be a bit better, but the perks outweigh the negatives.
There are no benefits, just 1099 contracts which pay the tutors low houly wage and charge customers excessively.
No benefits worth mentioning are offered.
With one on one sessions
Compensation does not increase like a typical corporation. Less than 3% per year consistently over the last 5 years for a top sales rep.
better pay and offering of benefits
More bonuses would be nice
Increasing the base salary. More generous 401k matching threshold.
Varsity charges on average $77 for each session and the tutors see $15 of that. Varisty is a great platform however tutors need to be paid more fairly for their work.
Pay could improve. Im paid approx $16/hour. If i tutored privately on my own I could make $75-$100/hour.
At Varsity (and all other like companies) you're just a minimum wage commodity, easily replaced.
As compensation, 45-50% percent is fair. The current 37% compensation, including the expense of travelling, is unfair.
Getting paid more, and not getting taxes taken out.
The wages are an insult to the people working there
Clients are charged a lot of money and i don't even get paid half of what clients pay. i feel i should make at least $5 more an hour .
Review from Operations Dept
I think the hourly rate is not what it should be. I've worked excessive hours for this company for limited compensation and if the benefits were better maybe it would even out but that's not been the case.
