This company only seems to care about money. Admit more patients than they can take care of. Often admit patients who do not meet hospice criteria. Understaffed and underpayed is an understatement.

More staff, better pay, and definitely need better insurance. Hourly pay for field staff not salary.

Working hard together to care for patients and families in spite of horrible treatment by the company
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop admitting patients just to meet monthly goals. Concentrate on quality patient care. Ensure you have adequate staff who are trained before you worry about increasing the census numbers. Hospice should be about patients before profit!
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Value the employees and their opinions. Concentrate on patient care and staff morale rather than census numbers and admissions goals or quotas. The fact that admissions goals take priority is sickening and everyone who pushes admissions like used car sales should be ashamed of themselves.
