What is the best part about your compensation package?
It is not any one part that makes a "best" part of the package - you need to look at the package as a whole. It has a good balance.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Volvo should re-evaluate market rates for positions which have risen dramatically the last couple of years. The company will lose talent if they cannot keep pace with what other companies offer.

Raise salaries to keep in step with inflation and also to retain/attract talent. Make 401K match 100% instead of 60%.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is friendly and they listen to other ideas to collectively get to the right answer. I haven't experienced any "politics" yet, which is refreshing.

It is a team. People will pitch in and do their part. US-based teams work hard to get things done in a timely manner.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
People are rather cliquey and while they are generally nice in the beginning it is hard to break through to be part of the community (eg., people dont say hello or make eye contact even after you've already met them). There's no sense of inclusion. My immediate group is good though.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I like the business casual policy and the hybrid work schedule. Free breakfast is also great, although it would be nice to have yogurt included!

The people are fun to work with and the free breakfast is great! I love that people can bring their dogs, even though I don't have one.
