Randy Rutherford is Vonage's Chief Legal Officer, responsible for the company's global legal affairs, including corporate governance, securities law, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, intellectual property, litigation, privacy, employment, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Before assuming his current post, Randy served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. In this role, he advised senior management and the Board of Directors on matters including corporate governance, securities law, executive compensation, capital markets and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to Vonage, he was a partner at Day Pitney LLP, where he counseled businesses and their boards on corporate governance and securities law, including securities law compliance, self-regulatory organization (SRO) listing requirements, corporate governance, executive compensation, equity and benefit plan requirements, public offerings, private placements, and compliance with public reporting responsibilities, including duties under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Randy earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and B.A. in Political Science from Penn State University.
