Mr. Chetlur S. Ragavan, also known as Chet, CFA has been the Chief Risk Officer of Voya Financial, Inc. since January 2014. Mr. Ragavan is responsible for overseeing the enterprise-wide and business-level risk monitoring and management program for the organization. His responsibilities include managing the framework for measuring, controlling, hedging and pricing risk, as well as compliance with all global financial reporting standards for the Voya Financial. Mr. Ragavan serves as the Chief Risk Officer of ING Investment Management Americas since April 2008. Mr. Ragavan joined ING U.S. Investment Management (ING U.S. IM) in April 2008. A long-time Wall Street and investment management professional, he is responsible for an integrated, company-wide platform that covers market, credit and operational risk management. He has been with Voya Financial since 2008. He serves as an Executive Vice President at Voya Financial, Inc. from January 2014. He served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Portfolio Analytics Group at BlackRock Solutions. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1980 and continued to hold a number of senior investment and risk management positions at Merrill Lynch over the past 28 years which included Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income Research at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers LP, where he chaired the fixed income investment committee responsible for the strategic direction of the firm's asset allocation. In addition, Mr. Ragavan managed a global team of credit, structured products and quantitative research analysts. From 1993 to 2000, he served as Managing Director and Head of Risk Management at Merrill Lynch Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing market, credit and counter-party risk exposures for its fixed income and money market investments. He has been a Director of Council For Economic Education since February 2017. He serves as a Director of ING USA Annuity and Life Insurance Company; Voya Retirement Insurance and Annuity Company (alos know as ING Life Insurance and Annuity Company) and Voya Insurance and Annuity Company. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Ragavan has a B.B.A. in Management Science from Madurai University, an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Madras and an M.S. in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
