A lot of positive moves in the last year, but a lot of course-changing to come. It's exciting to see movement, but further industry-wide instability keeps us all on edge.
We have a great rapport and communicate well with each other. We have a natural tendency to help each other out in a way that keeps the department running well at all times.
I love that I do work that I enjoy at a pace that is comfortable and flexible for me. A flexible, hybrid work schedule is something that greatly increases my quality of life, and I'm grateful for that. My management team is very supportive and the support resources available are considerable.
I provide great cost-savings to this company, but my pay falls below the average for my profession. Lack of opportunity for advancement is pervasive in the face of constant M&A and the ensuing cuts. To be fair, the whole industry is swimming upstream and has been for years, and it feels that way.
Our leadership has a clear strategy for us, but sometimes there is a disconnect between the decisions made on high and the working gears of the organization below. They hope to maintain course but we will see if they can be agile enough to not stumble in the course of major changes to come.
