1. to prepare educational standards in technical and vocational education and training to be established by a Prime Minister’s Order; 2. to set standards for accrediting private technical and vocational education and training institutions; 3. to monitor the implementation of technical and vocational education and training standards; 4. to prepare guidelines for collaboration between the General Inspectorate of technical and vocational education and training institutions and District structures in charge of education to be established by a Prime Minister’s Order; 5. to disseminate technical and vocational education and training policy and other decisions relating to technical and vocational education and training and monitor their implementation; 6. to advise District and Sector organs, train them and provide them with inspection manuals and documents and assess the way they conduct inspection of technical and vocational schools; 7. to provide other institutions in charge of technical and vocational education and training with advice on how to find solutions to the problems arising in technical and vocational education and training; 8. to prepare an annual report on the situation of technical and vocational education and training in technical and vocational schools to be submitted to the Minister in charge of technical and vocational education and training; 9. to build the capacity of its staff in terms of skills and equipment for them to better perform their duties; 10. to compare, evaluate and grant equivalent status to technical and vocational certificates awarded abroad and those awarded through distance-learning program; 11. to follow up all activities related to learning, teaching, evaluation and performance appraisal in technical and vocational schools; 12. to cooperate and collaborate with regional or international institutions with a similar mission.
