Mr. Kurt A. Kane serves as the Chief Concept and Marketing Officer of The Wendy's Company. Mr. Kane served as the Chief Concept Officer of The Wendy's Company since joining in May 4, 2015 until October 2015. He served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Pizza Hut, Inc., until May 4, 2015 and served as its Global Chief Marketing and Food Innovation Officer. He was responsible for the development of the strategic direction for Pizza Hut, as well as the execution of advertising, media planning and product innovation across 13,600 restaurants in 87 countries. Mr. Kane started his tenure with Pizza Hut in 2008 as Vice President of Marketing and held roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of National Marketing and Communications. Prior to joining Wendy's, he held several different leadership positions within the food and beverage space that provided him a broad and deep perspective on how to connect effectively with customers. Mr. Kane has held several different leadership positions that provided him with unique leadership opportunities. He began his career as an Air Defense Artillery Officer in the 4th Infantry Division. Following his service, he began his business career at Procter & Gamble where he led the repositioning of the Sunny Delight brand. He then went to Molson Coors Brewing Company, where he led the seven brand Molson portfolio for four years and Blue Moon Belgian White Ale. While there, he developed and implemented strategies, programs and advertising that reversed seven years of double-digit declines and made Molson the fastest growing Top 25 imported beer brand. Finally, he spent three years at Frito Lay, Inc. where he led the brand positioning, advertising, packaging and product innovation work that jumpstarted the reinvention of the Doritos brand. He also led the Frito Lay multipack business and worked in the new product group. He was named one of the ???Top 40 Marketing Innovators to Watch??? by PR Week magazine and one of the ???Top 100 Marketers in the World??? by the World Marketing Congress. Mr. Kane holds a B.S. in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
