There's a total lack of diversity in M&A, hiring more women and POC would be great. Also, they're pretty focused on the big offices but tend to pinch pennies with the smaller ones they're hoping to grow. Results in a lot of people leaving.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Taking a 50% pay increase for lateral move. Immature/lack of investment in operations team and compensation

It's not even remotely close enough for what's required to live in the Bay Area. Health insurance is expensive, 401k matching at 25% of what you contribute is a joke.

Tenured management fails to think outside the box often enough, as they seem to feel threatened by new ideas. Hearing "we've been successful for a long time doing things this way" is not uncommon when new or more modern ideas are presented...particularly around compensation.

Being aware of other people's time, if you ask for something to be completed on a Friday night please actually look at it on Saturday.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Bottom to top communication and the ability to ask hard questions and get a straight answer is very nice.

Work outings are optional but encouraged

Very positive team that's always supportive

Free alcohol available, that's about it. They just cut our Friday lunches.

Very proactive and well organized. Got to talk with a lot of people and felt like I really had a good sense of the team and culture. They took their time talking with me and really getting to know me.

They did not require ridiculous leetcode or hackerrank coding challenges

I can work, be myself, be paid decent and still have all the flexibility I need to do my job and take care of my family.

Doing extremely high quality work and aligning well with client's needs.

The realistic pace of work

Doing what I was hired to do, instead of Project Management, or PowerPoint. I'm a developer, coder, architect, and innovator by trade.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The office is horrible and we should have been upgraded but they decided to get Chicago a new office instead. There are never enough spots where the standing desks are and if the office is full you won't even get a second computer screen.
