Executive Bio

Mr. Vincent L. Tong has been an Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Quality at Xilinx, Inc. since May 12, 2016 and served as its Executive Leader of Asia Pacific since October 2011. Mr. Tong served as a Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Quality at Xilinx, Inc. since January 2015 until May 12, 2016. He served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Quality & New Product Introductions at Xilinx, Inc. from June 2008 to January 2015. He served as Vice President of Product Technology & Quality and Reliability of Xilinx, Inc. since August 2006 until April 2008. He was responsible for Quality and Reliability at Xilinx. He managed the engineering teams responsible for test development, package and assembly R&D, performance enhancement, yield improvement, product engineering and customer support. He directed all FPGA new product introductions as well as quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Mr. Tong also managed advanced technology partnerships with wafer foundries, subcontractors and other key technology suppliers. He oversaw the corporate quality methodology for the design, manufacture, training, measurement and post sale customer support of Xilinx products. Mr. Tong joined Xilinx in 1990 after holding a number of design, product and test engineering positions at Monolithic Memories and Advanced Micro Devices. He has been involved in the development, design and manufacturing of programmable logic devices for over 20 years. Mr. Tong holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. He studied Executive Development Program from Stanford Business School in 1996.
