    You will be promoted if you are in a revenue generating role, if your manager likes you, if you are a "yes man". You will not be promoted if you question a process seeking improvement.

    In my growth center employees are promoted based on the departure risk, value to the organization, and management popularity. I have never seen anyone promoted on merit or dedication.
