Living in San Diego, CA and being the most expensive city in the country becomes challenging when trying to balance your income vs. cost of living and expenses
a wage that fairly matches current inflation, not only among stock margins but also the actual products sold at the store, as in a discount wouldnt be needed as an employee if they were actually paid enough to afford store products.
Wages are unlivable and there are not enough hours.
I do a good job at what I do I know all my steps I can sell really good ahead of my team and get treated so infairly i get terrible hours I get scheduled once a week.

Although commission helps a lot, it is basically impossible to survive off of minimum wage if your store is located in a place with little traffic. Less buyers is less money.

We are expected to do so much fo so little pay. Everyone in our store should be payed way more then they are. They expect you to use your unpayed timw outside of work to essentially study for work.
Calculate compensation based on cost of living. Calculate yearly increases off of inflation. The stock and benefit options would be great, if employees could afford to participate.
I felt extrememly undervalued as an employee and as an individual leaving zumiez as it is a toxic work environment. I being worked there for a total of 5 years felt as if i was never heard even by my district manager, i would feel better compensated if action was taken within the district manager

7 years with company full time. They no longer match 401k as of 3 years ago. Pure greed as the original company culture fades
