My experience working for zumiez as an employee was a handful of postive and negative experiences. I started working for the company as young as 16 years old. During my years at zumiez I was under the management of 4 different managers and would have to say that my last year working there was awful
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The leadership team in zumiez is based off of making connections and relations with our employees. The store that i worked at seemed to have favourtism as a driving force in management positons. The behaviour and special treatment i saw being done at my store was enough to hand in my resignation
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I felt extrememly undervalued as an employee and as an individual leaving zumiez as it is a toxic work environment. I being worked there for a total of 5 years felt as if i was never heard even by my district manager, i would feel better compensated if action was taken within the district manager
