BIO: Michael Rapino was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the newly created Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (Live Nation) in January 2010. Prior to the merger between Live Nation and Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc., he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation since August 2005. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation, he held the positions of Chief Executive Officer and President of Global Music for Clear Channel Music Group. He also led Clear Channel Entertainment's London-based International Music division, and was the driving force behind the company's profitable expansion internationally. Early in his career, he co-founded Core Audience Entertainment ??? a leading concert promoter and entertainment marketing company in Canada, which was acquired by SFX in 1999. Mr. Rapino began his career at Labatt Breweries where he subsequently became Head of Marketing for Labatt brands and oversaw its entertainment assets. He holds a bachelor degree in business from Lakehead University.
