Communication. Stop with the unspoken expectation that employees will work on their free time and spend their personal money for supplies just so their classrooms will operate smoothly.

Working with my co-workers, children and their families. They are the ONLY reason I am TRYING to stay in the field. However, if I continue to struggle financially, I will have no choice but to make a move.

Higher pay and a clear pathway to advancement. The understanding that as I am an "older" employee who has returned to college to obtain her degree...but LIFE EXPERIENCE should ALSO be considered. Not just having a piece of paper.

Being able to be in charge of a classroom, but it is also very stressful. The unspoken expectations of working off the clock to prevent OT and never having the supplies needed for curricuulum resulting in out of pocket expenses.

Was hat Ihnen am Interviewprozess am besten gefallen?

I was promised a raise as lead teacher when I agreed to go to my current location but then Covid hit abd I did not receive it. I made the choice to return to college to increase my earning power. There is little guidance as promised career path wise.
