They care way too much about money, ratings, and data. They need to care more about students, employees, and not looking good on paper!

Kindercare as a company is average. I believe the higher up people don't have the mindset or knowledge of the first hand experience actually caring for children in a setting like this. Some maintenance issues and such are brushed over.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The best part about my compensation package is the 401K options we have available.

I receive a pretty decent compensation considering what others make doing the same thing in the area. It all comes down to your manager and what they are willing to do to help you receive fair pay.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am yelled at for being early to work because they have to pay me more. I am expected to have lessons for students planned and prepared, but need to plan them for free in my spare time...

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My personal team that I work with. My teachers inspire me to be a better person everytime I walk in their classrooms and see the activities that they have prepared for their class makes me realize why I LOVE coming to work everyday.

I was asked to return to the company by a District Leader who I hiighly respect. That in itself made the interview process very comfortable.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We need to be honest with the parents and stop thinking strictly about the corporations needs only and really focus on with the parents and the children need. KinderCare has gotten way too deep into its own bottom line and profits and his let go of the values of the children and staff.

Managers need more of a backbone to keep employees in line. Special treatment is making it harder for the good workers to feel motivated.
