I'm not entirely sure who falls into the bucket of 'my' leadership team. However, generally I would say my leadership team is reasonable and understanding which is helpful in getting through the day-to-day.

My direct team works extremely hard to not only meet expectations but go well beyond them. We work well together, support each other, and cheer each other on, all while maintaining a positive attitude.

It's no secret that many of us work for Destination Pet because of our undeniable love for pets. The most positive aspect of the culture at DP is the focus on our universal love for animals.

Most departments work in a silo with very little regard for how actions they take (or don't take) and decisions they make (or don't make) impact others. There is also a severe deficit of accountability which is leading to increasing frustration among those that are accountable.

In my role, it's very easy to feel unnoticed and unappreciated because of everything that I do behind the scenes, the problems I solve without needing assistance, and the ways I go above and beyond that no one sees. An increase in my compensation would make me feel better about it.

While I am supportive of DP's goals, it is difficult to work in an environment every day where I do not feel supported in return. This entire company is extremely understaffed. Nearly every department is crumbling under the pressure of keeping up with the rapid growth, and it is taking a toll.

Compensation that accurately reflects the value that I add, the work that I produce, how much my team & my department rely on me, and my competencies is the bare minimum. Instead, my compensation is based on an arbitrary budget & bottom line that has nothing to do with my quality & quantity of work.
