Everything they run everyone into the ground and under pay all of production a person who has been there 6 years doesn't get paid over 10 a hour

We have a general manager and that is all. There is a very poor breakdown of power, as well as managers who are only concerned about money. There is no overhead. No hr person on site. No one except GM.

I don't feel undervalued but I do believe there's an opportunity to significantly improve health care benefits. Spouses eligible for health care elsewhere are not eligible for Gray health care even at a premium. That can be tricky.

News stations are 24/7/365 operations. The environment is stressful and takes a toll on employees' wellbeing. Gray does not do enough to make up for that. Its employees constantly run toward tragedy, fight to improve ratings and miss holidays, etc with family. You get a 1.5% annual raise, on average

For a 4-yr degree job, the pay is poor. The pay is not keeping up with inflation. No one can survive on $33K !

I was started on the 3rd of the month. Due to gray policy, i had to wait 2 months to get insurance. And they are very poor policies. I am averaging around 15$. Which is now the minimum wage in my area. It is uncompetitive for the work they expect done.

There is a real sense of camaraderie amongst myself and my coworkers, probably because we're all being run ragged and need one another to make things work. Probably the best thing I can say about where I work and the only reason I haven't already left for another job (though I have begun looking).

Job security. We haven't had layoffs. Instead, the company now offers a free healthcare option, more paid time off, raised the minimum hourly wage to $18/hour. Gray offers a lot of training during onboarding and throughout the year. The HR team holds monthly contests.

Leadership is approachable. New ideas are encouraged. Mistakes aren't the end of the world but an opportunity from which to learn. Management isn't breathing over my shoulder.
