Companies fairly flat - not a ton of middle level management. Upper management spends time with customers and anaylsising how we can always work to drive improvements.

I was with grainger for many years. I've seen them try to implement many new business models and they will push through even if its to the detriment of both the company and employees. When the did the massive layoff they acknowledge they made a grave mistake but to late to stop.
