I've been working at David's Bridal for 1.5 years. Started at a Bridal stylist in a terrible store, then transfered. Upon transfered, I was promoted to Temp. Sales Manager. It was a mistake to take the position as I work my tail off, but I'm undervalued.

The leadership is only focused on making sales, to the extent that we overbook to an impossible-to-handle level. The push from Corp is overwhelming, customer and employee experience is dropping rapidly. The environment is toxic.

Known as a fast yet unreliable chain. Has a negative social media presence due to an unhappy client base. At the same time, there's a perception that because this is bridal, we can work miracles. We are so overworked we can barely help ourselves.

There's no wage transparency, and to learn that my equal counterpart was making $16 an hour, I was gutted. I am not making much more, but we both spend all of our waking hours trying to hold down the fort. The emotional toll outside of time punches is priceless.

My direct employees respect me and are ready to play as a team. My store manager is absent and disconnected to an extreme. As the middleman, I find myself having to pacify my good employees in the hopes they they don't leave because they know they don't deserve this environment.
