The performance review structure is a joke - for management and employees. 2% annual COLA raises no matter how hard you do (or don't) work. Promotions seem to be only minimally merit-based.
The company turns a blind eye to toxic behavior - in other departments as well as mine, as long as the work gets done. They don't seem to care about incredible turnover rates.
They need to pay more attention to providing good service for the clients we have now across the board and spend less energy on desperately chasing new clients that they will not be able to retain.
They need to develop the ability to look ay what clients are asking for today - not 20 years ago - and make strategic decisions accordingly. Too often we pay lip service to the same attributes as out competitors without any concrete evidence that they work.
G4S is divided into mini-fiefdoms. I happen to be placed in one that is extremely negative. Our manager encourages an envoronment where there is ALWAYS a team enemy (or three) among the departments that we work with. As a result, the most negative and complaining people are her favorites.
