Overall good company being hamstrung by a toxic people team who run a biased and exhaustive hiring process and incommunicative HR processes. Hiring good talent is difficult, promotions are completely opaque, and any feedback mechanisms are non-existent because they don't want to hear it.

Interviewing with the people you will actually work with is fine. But the people team, who you will never work with, has final say, and run an incredibly intensive and biased system that only passes people like them through to the final rounds. Actively holding back diversity.
