The dogs make me most happy at work.
There are a few people who are aware of the disrespect we face and understand enough to sympathize with me and listen to me. Regardless, it doesn't matter because management does not listen.
I literally make less than thirteen dollars to take care of living animals and be reliable. I am hugely disrespected, ignored, etc while expected to be a perfect employee. I can't afford rent. I don't make enough to even afford benefits because of the paycheck's deduction.
The best thing about the environment at my workplace is the few people who are respectful and listen to me. Other than that, the dogs and the guilt from being so short staffed are the only things that keep me working here. Communication doesn't even exist here.
Honestly I appreciate that my manager seems to be aware of the fact that I'm a person with feelings, and they care about that. That's honestly about it. There could be a whole lot more done in order to show appreciation and respect to our employees. There is a huge lack of respect in my workplace.
