Hardly anyone on my team can get a promotion, and if someone does, it is lateral with minimal pay increase. I want to be challenged and learn more, but I am stuck in my role for years. Went from constant fear of layoffs to not being able to hire or keep employees. More work for me without more pay.

Create a better workplace environment. We all come to work, do our job, then leave.

O que está ruim e como pode melhorar?

UP celebrates how efficient they are and "the best railroad in the US", yet we don't have cars available. No crews.

Por que você se sente desvalorizado e o que faria você se sentir melhor compensado?

Promote people when they deserve it and not force them to complete an ingrade project in order to get a promotion/raise. My workload has doubled and I get zero recognition or pay raise.

O que precisa melhor na cultura da empresa?

It is a very cut throat mentality here. Everyone is concerned about getting their next job. Managers don't build their employees anymore. They are concerned about covering themselves to get promoted and not let go.

O que está ruim e como pode melhorar?

Our service is terrible. Customers can't hardly get cars, and when they do, it takes forever for them to deliver. I'm the one the customer gets mad at.... not the leadership team making these decisions.

My whole team is struggling to keep up. My team used to be 6 people and now we are down to 3. Leadership just keeps saying "we hear you", but never does anything to help eliminate all of this extra work.

You are continually having us do more and more work and push "do more with less". Get to know your employees. I can't tell you the last time I even saw my director or senior manager. We are non existent and get constant emails telling us we have more responsibilities but no more pay.

Let us work from home full time. Most days I come into work it is a waste of time. I don't have any meetings scheduled and my coworkers are working from home. What's the point of me being here if I'm all alone? Either increase pay or decrease workload. Create jobs and opportunities to grow/learn.

Take action. it's always "We hear you", but nothing is ever done. Employees want to work from home. The new mantra of "do more with less" is insulting. It says you don't appreciate what we currently do and want us to do more and make more money for the company and we get nothing in return.

Allow us to work from home. Many companies are switching to this because they are listening to their employees. We were forced to come back in the middle of the pandemic for a job we can safely do from home. UP used to be celebrated for how well they pay their employees. This is non existent now.
