From my different experiences at Carbon I appreciate how much support I have received either individually or as a whole. I believe in the team and them having my best interest in mind.
I think my team and I are pretty close for being coworkers and I'm totally happy and fine with that. Feels good to work with people you can stand to be around after work is over.
I feel intelligent working here. Especially when I get to wear a lab coat, standing next to real scientists and engineers, all while absorbing their knowledge to later have as my own. Plus, the give and take of knowledge across the board no matter what you're bringing to the table.
People do discuss salaries, it would be presumptuous to assume that peers don't. And I do know that I make less than my peers. Whether it has anything to do with gender or race I cannot say that for certain. But had I been paid fairly from previous corps I would've asked for hire pay during hiring.
