When at work, you'll worry about getting laid off. When you're at home, you'll worry about being laid off. Overtime or no overtime makes no difference. You'll always wonder if you'll be there tomorrow, and you'll always know that no one has your back. Maybe 1 or two of your coworkers will if you are a friendly sort. But passing the buck happens at the employee level even though most people who work here are genuinely good people, but I can't say I blame them for their self preserving nature. It is necessary due to piss poor leadership.
Work is challenging but in my particular role, I have flexibility so have good work life balance. It is not the case in a manufacturing, production or management role with many reports.
Uneven. 60 hour work weeks standard. Intrusion of work into personal time. Not unlikely to get requests while on vacation
Unbalanced. Work expectations routinely exceed 60 hours. Expect to be available via cell at all times
It depended upon your ability to perform your job in a timely manner.
40 hour work is considered part time. 60 hr/week is not uncommon.
It depends on your business unit but it can be daunting.
Lopsided. Expectation of availability even on planned vacations
Not good. Can’t take a fully disconnected vacation
Not great. Stretched too thin
unbalanced when I am thwre.
Not bad
